A story written in the ocean
There is Tahiti as seen from land. And then there is Tahiti as seen from the ocean the one Enrique has known all his life.
“I’m not taking you to visit Tahiti. I’m taking you to where I grew up.”
A surfer from a very young age and a multiple-time Polynesian champion, Enrique has devoted much of his life to the ocean.
This passion has given him an intimate knowledge of the waves, the marine environment and the wildlife surrounding the island. A fisherman and guide, he now shares this perspective with those who want to discover Tahiti differently.
Growing up with the ocean
Enrique Ariitu learned the ways of the sea before he could even name them. The reefs, the passes, the morning currents: his everyday playground.
Surfing, a lesson in patience
Years of competition have given him a rare understanding of the swell: knowing where a wave breaks, when it will break and, above all, when it is better to stay in the water and watch.
Fishing, the art of listening
A fisherman before becoming a guide, he knows the drop-offs, the birds that reveal a school of fish and the changing color of the water. Nothing is improvised; everything is observed.
Whales, a lesson in respect
A slow approach, engine off, a respectful distance. Here, an encounter is never something we take for granted: it is a privilege earned by remaining discreet.
Tahiti Sea Escape
No mass tourism, no large groups. One trip, one captain, five people and respect for everything around us. We take you to the places where we grew up.
“Here, we do not come to see the ocean. We come to meet it.”
Four principles, upheld on every trip.
Not a charter displayed at the marina, but the way we actually run every outing, from departure to return.
01 Five people, never more
We welcome a maximum of five guests aboard. Small groups allow us to take our time and offer everyone a more personal experience.
02 The weather decides
Sea and weather conditions always come first. If conditions are unsuitable, we will discuss another departure time or date with you.
03 A respectful approach
Whale-watching distances and observation times are regulated. Wildlife always comes before the photograph.
04 Places, not just spots
The ocean, the coastline and the places we visit are part of everyday life in Tahiti. We explore them with respect for the people and nature around us.
The next chapter begins on board.
Choose your experience, or simply tell us your dates. We will guide you according to the swell, the season and the light.
